   โครงงาน   เทียนหอมตะไคร้ไล่ยุง

  บทคัดย่อ

ยุง เป็นพาหะนะนำโรคหลายชนิดที่เป็นอันตรายต่อมนุษย์เช่น โรคไข้เลือดออก ไข้มาลาเรีย โรคเท้าช้าง เป็นต้น จึงมีผู้คิดทำตัวยาเพื่อกำจัดและป้องกันยุงขึ้นมาหลายชนิดเช่น ครีมทากันยุง ยาจุดกันยุง ยาฉีดกันยุง น้ำมันไล่ยุง เป็นต้น แต่ยากันยุงเหล่านี้ก่อให้เกิดปัญหาขึ้นมากมายเพราะมีสารที่เป็นอันตรายผสมอยู่ ซึ่งทำให้ผู้ใช้บางคนเกิดอาการแพ้ ผู้จัดทำโครงงานได้พบว่ามีชาวบ้านในท้องถิ่นได้นำใบตะไคร้หอมทำเป็นแล้ววางไว้ใกล้ตัว พบว่าสามารถไล่ยุงได้ ผู้จัดทำจึงได้ทำเทียนหอมตะไคร้ไล่ยุงขึ้น เพื่อให้สามารถใช้งานได้สะดวกขึ้นและหยุดปัญหาการแพ้สารเคมี

 

สมมติฐานของการศึกษา

1. ตะไคร้สามารถไล่ยุงได้
2. เทียนหอมตะไคร้ไล่ยุงไม่ทำให้ผู้ใช้เกิดอาการแพ้
3. เทียนหอมสมุนไพรที่ผลิตขึ้นได้น่าจะมีกลิ่นของสมุนไพรซึ่งได้แก่ตะไคร้หอมให้กลิ่นที่หอมสดชื่น

วิธีการทำการทดลอง

1 .นำใบตะไคร้ไปตากแดด

2. หั่นใบตะไคร้ตากแห้งเป็นชิ้นเล็กๆ

3. นำไปตะไคร้ตากแห้งไปต้มในน้ำเดือด

4. กรองน้ำตะไคร้ด้วยผ้าขาวบาง

5. หั่นพาราฟินเป็นชิ้นเล็กๆ

6. นำพาราฟินที่หั่นแล้วใส่หม้อขึ้นตั้งความร้อนปานกลาง เคี้ยวไปจนละลายเป็นของเหลว

7. ใส่ S.A และ P.E ลงไปอย่างละประมาณ 1 ช้อนชา เสร็จแล้วใส่สีเทียนลงไปพอประมาณ แล้วตามด้วยน้ำตะไคร้หอม

8. นำพาราฟินที่ละลายแล้วใส่แม่พิมพ์และใส้เทียนลงไป

9. แกะเทียนออกจากแม่พิมพ์และตกแต่งให้สวยงาม

10. ทำกล่องบรรจุภัณฑ์

ผลการทดลอง

เทียนหอมสมุนไพรกลิ่นตะไคร้หอมที่ได้จะมีกลิ่นหอมของตะไคร้หอมและสามารถไล่ยุงได้ดี ไม่แพ้ยากันยุง และพบว่ายุงตายด้วย

สรุปผลการทดลอง

1. การทำเทียนหอมไพรทำได้ยาก และมีขั้นตอนการทำที่ง่าย
2.ใบตะไคร้ที่ใช้ทำเทียนสมุนไพรมีคุณสมบัติให้กลิ่นและสามารถใช้ประโยชน์ได้จริง
3.มีขั้นตอนการทำไม่ยากและยังเป็นการนำพืชสมุนไพรจากท้องถิ่นของเรามาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ได้

ประโยชน์ที่คาดว่าจะได้รับ

1.ทำให้ทราบประโยชน์ของใบตะไคร้ว่าสามารถไล่ยุงได้
2. ไม่ต้องเสียค่าใช้จ่ายมากในการซื้อครีมทากันยุงหรือสเปรย์ฉีดไล่ยุง
3. ไม่เกิดอาการแพ้หรือระคายเคือง
4. เป็นการใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์
5.ได้นำแนวความคิดเกี่ยวกับเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงมาประยุกต์ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน เพื่อเป็นการนำสิ่งที่มีอยู่แล้วมาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด

ข้อเสนอแนะ

1สามารถนำสมุนไพรพื้นบ้านชนิดอื่นมาเป็นส่วนผสมได้
2.การทำเทียนหอมเราควรนำสมุนไพรที่อบแห้งใส่ลงไปในเนื้อเทียน หอมด้วย อาจจะได้กลิ่นสมุนไพรมากขึ้น3. ควรนำสมุนไพรหลายชนิดมาทำเทียนหอมสมุนไพรเพื่อเปรียบเทียบกลิ่นที่ได้และรับความนิยม
4.เราสามารถเทียนหอมสมุนไพรเพื่องานอดิเรกและสามารถนำประกอบอาชีพได้อีกด้วย
